Sales, just like anything else, can be complicated or simple. It totally depends on how you look at it.

No, I don't buy into it if you can't explain your sales funnel under a minute. If anything, when you overcomplicate it, you are not doing yourself and your team a favour.

Sales of a product or a service requires each step to be accomplished.

1. Finding a problem
2. Solving the problem
3. Creating content about the problem

Yes, problem > solution > content.

Just create content about your solution.

When you build it up as above, you accomplish sales requirements.

Then do whatever you want to it as you start selling and scaling up. Add more nodes to the loop. Go into absurd detail. Add gazillion sub categories.

Categorise your content into groups;

  • Creating content about the problem you solve
  • Creating content about the benefits of solving the problem
  • Creating content about how your product/services solves the problem

Then go into further detail per each group, such as:

  • Financial perspective about solving the problem
  • Competitive advantage about solving the problem
  • User experience and customer loyalty help about solving the problem
  • Etc etc

By doing this and following the simple framework, as you build up your content empire, you will be covering every relevant angle for your potential customers to explain your solution.

This will help you build user acquisition channels that drive them straight to your product, not other way around.

Sales funnel is all about precisely delivering the solution to the right audience.
